Betsy from Mars

Short Bio:

Betsy from Mars is a Climate Justice folk-rock project out of Richmond, VA. With up to a 7-piece outfit, their music explores the intersectionality of environmental + social issues with a jam-band flair. Their influences include Steely Dan, Weyes Blood, and AJJ. BFM features lead singer/fiddle player Betsy Podsiadlo, keys player Dreia Burton, 12-string guitar played by Tom Jakob, drummer April Freeman, bass player Avery Waddell, backing vocals and flute by Dawn Manning, and mandolin and backing vocals by Ian Blackwood.  Their upcoming album release - Eaten by the Sun is in the works for early 2027.
